Home PageEligibility Ruling Regarding Senior FootballIn 2010 Football Nova Scotia supported the NSVFL in its efforts to manage athletes competing for multiple teams in the same season of play. FNS, Senior Football reps and NSVFL reps met and agreed that players must be 20 or older to participate in the Senior Men's league, with the allowance that 19 year olds not interested in playing Varsity may request permission from Football Nova Scotia to play in the Senior league as an "under age" player. Contact Football Nova Scotia if you wish to pursue playing Senior Football as a 19 year old. Age eligibilty for the NSVFL:Under 20 on June 30, 2011 to play Varsity and Under 17 on June 30, 2011 to play Junior Varsity.
The Nova Scotia Varsity Football League endeavors to provide youth under 20 years of age with an opportunity to play competitive football during the spring. Our goal is to allow athletes as many opportunities as possible to play football and develop their skills so as to enhance their performance and provide them an opportunity to be competitive with athletes from other regions of Canada.
